AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 756

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 756, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1 as follows:

on page 1, lines 15 through 16, by replacing "Furthermore, the public sale or disposition of the vehicle shall discharge any fines, fees, or" with "Furthermore, any proceeds from the public sale of the vehicle shall be applied to any fines, fees, or"; and

on page 19, line 8, by inserting after "agents," the following: "any proceeds from the sale, salvage, or disposal of the vehicle shall be deducted from"; and

on page 19, lines 14 through 15, by replacing "fees, shall be considered discharged." with "fees."; and

on page 27, line 18, by replacing "may shall" with "shall"; and

on page 27, line 19, by replacing "disposed of" with "sold disposed of"; and

on page 27, lines 20 through 23, by replacing "If the county or municipality takes title to the vehicle or if the vehicle is disposed of the person who was the registered owner at the time of the vehicle's impoundment shall be discharged of any fines," with "After the sale of the vehicle is completed, the person who was the registered owner at the time of the vehicle's impoundment is entitled to have the proceeds of that sale deducted from any fines,".
