90_SJ0028eng 90SJ0028 Engrossed SRS90SJ0003KSsa 1 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 28 2 (As amended by Senate Amendment No. 2) 3 WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Fall 4 1997 Mandate Waiver report, dated October 1, 1997, and an 5 addendum to that report dated October 24, 1997, with the 6 Senate and the House of Representatives as required by 7 Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; therefore, be it 8 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 9 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 10 CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request pertaining to licensed 11 practical nurses (LPN's) submitted by Prairie Hills 12 Elementary School District 144, identified in the report as 13 WM197-0808-1, is disapproved; and be it further 14 RESOLVED, That the requests pertaining to school nurses 15 submitted by Exceptional Children Have Opportunities (ECHO) 16 Joint Agreement of Cook County, identified in the report as 17 WM197-0769, and Special Education District of Lake County, 18 identified in the report as WM197-0770, are disapproved for 19 the reason that the applicants, as special education 20 cooperatives, are ineligible to apply for waivers under the 21 existing language of Section 2-3.25g.
