| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of William Allen Lynn of Moline, formerly | 4 | | of New Windsor, who passed away on January 25, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was born in Norwood to William Joseph | 6 | | and Florence (Brownlee) Lynn on June 20, 1930; he married | 7 | | Bessie L. Anderson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion on June | 8 | | 24, 1954; he served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was a former member of the New Windsor | 11 | | American Legion; he was later a member of the Orion American | 12 | | Legion; he attended Swedona Lutheran Church; he enjoyed | 13 | | woodworking and attending his grandchildren's sports and | 14 | | activities; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was preceded in death by his parents | 16 | | and his sisters, Jane Bredberg, Mary Hansen, Colleen Hughes, | 17 | | and Peggy Thurman; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Allen Lynn is survived by his wife; his children, | 19 | | Kevin (Carol) Lynn, Gina (Steve) Geering, and Lisa (Denis) | 20 | | Wehr; his grandchildren, Heather, Lucas, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Grace, | 21 | | and Carolyn; his step-grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, and |
