SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William Allen Lynn of Moline, formerly
4of New Windsor, who passed away on January 25, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was born in Norwood to William Joseph
6and Florence (Brownlee) Lynn on June 20, 1930; he married
7Bessie L. Anderson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion on June
824, 1954; he served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was a former member of the New Windsor
11American Legion; he was later a member of the Orion American
12Legion; he attended Swedona Lutheran Church; he enjoyed
13woodworking and attending his grandchildren's sports and
14activities; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Allen Lynn was preceded in death by his parents
16and his sisters, Jane Bredberg, Mary Hansen, Colleen Hughes,
17and Peggy Thurman; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Allen Lynn is survived by his wife; his children,
19Kevin (Carol) Lynn, Gina (Steve) Geering, and Lisa (Denis)
20Wehr; his grandchildren, Heather, Lucas, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Grace,
21and Carolyn; his step-grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, and

1Alisha; his eight great-grandchildren; his eight
2step-great-grandchildren; his brother, John (Twila) Lynn; his
3brother-in-law, Earl Hansen; his sisters-in-law, Sheila
4(Jerry) Bryan and Dolly Anderson; and his numerous nieces and
5nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8William Allen Lynn and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Allen Lynn as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
