| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kenneth E. "Ken" Kessinger of East | 4 | | Moline, who passed away on January 28, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ken Kessinger was born in East Alton to Kenneth A. | 6 | | and Lovell (Morey) Kessinger on August 5, 1933; he served in | 7 | | the United States Navy for four years, where he was also a | 8 | | Golden Glove Boxer; he married Annabelle Abernathy in East | 9 | | Alton on August 15, 1958; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, In 1995, Ken Kessinger retired from | 11 | | McDonald-Douglas in St. Louis, now Boeing, after 21 years of | 12 | | service; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Ken Kessinger was a member of First Southern | 14 | | Baptist Church; he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ken Kessinger was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his wife, Annabelle; his sister, Virginia Simms; his | 17 | | special friend, Bev Robinson; and his sister-in-law, Alberta | 18 | | Weidel; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Ken Kessinger is survived by his children, Ricky | 20 | | (Susan) Kessinger, Brian (Bobbie Henkels) Kessinger, and Tim |
