AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 830

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 830 on page 3, by inserting immediately below line 12 the following:

"(f) When a default in the payment of a fine, fee, cost, order of restitution, judgment of bond forfeiture, or any installment thereof has been included in the Comptroller's offset system, under Sections 10.05 and 10.05d of the State Comptroller Act, and the State's Attorney has retained attorneys or private collection agents under subsection (e) of this Section, the State's Attorney shall assign not more than 33% of the additional fee described in subsection (e) of this Section to the retained attorneys or collection agents."; and

on page 3, by inserting immediately below line 14 the following:

"Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
