SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 4005/12

Amends the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act. Repeals the Act on January 1, 2016 (now, 2012). Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act is amended by changing Section 12 as follows:

(20 ILCS 4005/12)

Sec. 12. Repeal. Sections 1 through 9 and Section 11 are repealed January 1, 2016 2012.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
