SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 571/36 new

Amends the Project Labor Agreements Act. Provides that, if a municipality, county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support that project.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Project Labor Agreements Act is amended by adding Section 36 as follows:

(30 ILCS 571/36 new)

Sec. 36. Local government prohibition. If a municipality, county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support that project.
