1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5657
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5657 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Project Labor Agreements Act is amended by
5 adding Section 36 as follows:

6     (30 ILCS 571/36 new)
7     Sec. 36. Local government prohibition. If a municipality,
8 county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project
9 labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State
10 funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support
11 any public works project authorized by that municipality,
12 county, or township.".
