AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1937

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1937 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act is amended by adding Section 4 as follows:

(410 ILCS 625/4 new)

Sec. 4. Food Code; adoption and implementation. It shall be the policy of any business establishment involved in the preparation of food to adopt and follow Chapter 2 (Management and Personnel), Subpart 2-2 (Employee Health) of the 2009 Food Code, or its successor, as adopted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The applicable definitions in Chapter 1 (Purpose and Definitions) of the 2009 Food Code, or its successor, shall apply.".
