 1                     AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 75

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill  75,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to  the  page  and  line  numbers  of Senate
 4    Amendment No. 1, on page 13, in line  11  by  replacing  "and
 5    2f-5" with "2f-5, and 2f-6"; and

 6    on page 23, by inserting after line 10 the following:

 7        "(705 ILCS 35/2f-6 new)
 8        Sec.   2f-6.  Additional  circuit  judge;  17th  judicial
 9    circuit.
10        (a)  In  addition  to  the  number  of   circuit   judges
11    otherwise   authorized  by  this  Act,  there  shall  be  one
12    additional judge in the 17th circuit who shall be a  resident
13    of and elected from Winnebago County.
14        (b)  The  additional  judgeship  created  by this Section
15    shall be filled beginning with the 2004 general election  and
16    shall not be filled by appointment before then.".
