SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

5 ILCS 375/6.12

Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971 to provide that the program of health benefits set forth in that Act is subject to the provisions of the Illinois Insurance Code concerning the assignability of accident and health insurance. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning insurance.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971 is amended by changing Section 6.12 as follows:

(5 ILCS 375/6.12)

Sec. 6.12. Payment for services. The program of health benefits is subject to the provisions of Sections Section 368a and 370a of the Illinois Insurance Code.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
