1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2424
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 2424, on page 2,
3 line 9, after "accounts", by inserting the following:
4 "before the accounts have been certified as uncollectible
5 under this Section"; and
6 on page 2, by replacing lines 15 through 19 with the
7 following:
8 "schedule for the various receivables. The contractor shall
9 remit the amount collected, net of the contingent fee, to the
10 respective State agency which shall deposit the net amount
11 received into the fund that would have received the receipt
12 had it been collected by the State agency. No portion of
13 the"; and
14 on page 2, by replacing line 25 with the following:
15 "Director of Central Management Services may sell the debts
16 that are eligible for sale to one or more outside"; and
17 on page 2, by replacing lines 31 and 32 with the following:
18 "shall provide for a contingent fee. Beginning on the
19 effective date of this amendatory Act of"; and
20 on page 2, line 34, by replacing "the State Comptroller" with
21 "the Department of Central Management Services"; and

1 on page 3, by replacing line 4 with the following:
2 "Assembly, the Director of Central Management Services shall
3 direct the State Comptroller to deposit the first"; and
4 on page 3, line 5, after "Section", by inserting the
5 following:
6 ", excluding those funds that by law may not be diverted from
7 their original purpose,"; and
8 on page 3, line 7, by deleting "by the State Comptroller".
