1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3831
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3831, AS AMENDED,
3 as follows:
4 in Sections 5, 15, 20, 25, and 30, by replacing "a public
5 institution of higher education" each time it appears with
6 "an institution of higher education"; and
7 in Section 5, immediately below the paragraph beginning
8 ""Grade point average"", by inserting the following:
9 ""Institution of higher education" means a community
10 college, college, or university, whether public or private,
11 located in this State."; and
12 in Section 5, by deleting the paragraph beginning ""Public
13 institution of higher education""; and
14 in Sections 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35, by replacing "public
15 institution of higher education" each time it appears with
16 "institution of higher education"; and
17 in Section 40, by replacing "tuition and approved mandatory
18 fees" with "(i) for a public institution of higher education,
19 tuition and approved mandatory fees or (ii) for a private
20 institution of higher education, tuition and approved
21 mandatory fees in an amount not to exceed the maximum amount
22 allowed to be awarded each academic year under Section 35 of
