| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Arthur William Konneker of | 4 | | Carlinville, who passed away on November 16, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was born on May 9, 1934, to | 6 | | William Otto and Opal Konneker (Leefers) in Shaws Point | 7 | | Township; he graduated from Carlinville High School in 1952 and | 8 | | served in both the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard; | 9 | | he married Jana Ruth Early on August 18, 1956, at Emmanuel | 10 | | Baptist Church in Carlinville; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was a grain and livestock farmer | 12 | | in the Carlinville area, retiring in 1986; he worked for M&M | 13 | | service company for several years; he was a member of Elks | 14 | | Lodge #1412, enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and | 15 | | spending time at Otter Lake; and he was strongly devoted to his | 16 | | wife and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was preceded in death by his wife, | 18 | | Jana; his parents, William Otto and Opal Konneker; and his | 19 | | brother, Marvin Konneker; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker is survived by his daughters, Kim | 21 | | Bruzek (Steve) and Elizabeth Sandino (Steve); his son, Scott |
