SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Arthur William Konneker of
4Carlinville, who passed away on November 16, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was born on May 9, 1934, to
6William Otto and Opal Konneker (Leefers) in Shaws Point
7Township; he graduated from Carlinville High School in 1952 and
8served in both the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard;
9he married Jana Ruth Early on August 18, 1956, at Emmanuel
10Baptist Church in Carlinville; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was a grain and livestock farmer
12in the Carlinville area, retiring in 1986; he worked for M&M
13service company for several years; he was a member of Elks
14Lodge #1412, enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and
15spending time at Otter Lake; and he was strongly devoted to his
16wife and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker was preceded in death by his wife,
18Jana; his parents, William Otto and Opal Konneker; and his
19brother, Marvin Konneker; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Arthur Konneker is survived by his daughters, Kim
21Bruzek (Steve) and Elizabeth Sandino (Steve); his son, Scott

1Konneker (Brenda); his grandsons, Matthew Konneker, Andrew
2Sandino, Elliot Bruzek, and Alexander Bruzek; his
3granddaughters, Ashley Wofford (Jack) and Alyse Sandino; his
4great-grandchildren, Christian and Kyra Konneker and Jocelyn
5Wofford; his sister, Irene Tindle; his brothers, Don (Betty)
6Konneker and Pete Konneker (Rachel); and several nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Arthur Konneker, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Arthur Konneker as a symbol of our
15deepest sympathy.
