| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Elizabeth Deady, who passed away on | 4 | | September 25, 2018 at the age of 93; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Deady was born on December 15, 1924 and was a | 6 | | longtime resident of Oak Park, where she raised her eight | 7 | | children; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Mary Deady was a parishioner at Ascension Catholic | 9 | | Church, where she was a founding member of the Ascension Choir | 10 | | and was an active member into her 90s; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mary Deady, traveling into her 80s, went on three | 12 | | pilgrimages with Ascension Church throughout Europe, including | 13 | | to Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, and the | 14 | | ecumenical community of Taize in France; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Mary Deady was preceded in death by her husband, | 16 | | Edward Deady, and her siblings, Leonard Deady and Patricia | 17 | | Markey; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Mary Deady is survived by her children, Ann Marie | 19 | | (Fred) Wickizer, Patrick (Pamela), Kevin, Matthew (Mary), Mary | 20 | | Joan (the late Michael) McFarlane, Timothy, Mark (Michelle), |

| 1 | | and Philip Deady; her eight grandchildren; and her two | 2 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Mary Elizabeth Deady and extend our sincere condolences to her | 6 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 7 | | further
| 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 | | presented to the family of Mary Deady as an expression of our | 10 | | deepest sympathy.
