SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Elizabeth Deady, who passed away on
4September 25, 2018 at the age of 93; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Deady was born on December 15, 1924 and was a
6longtime resident of Oak Park, where she raised her eight
7children; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mary Deady was a parishioner at Ascension Catholic
9Church, where she was a founding member of the Ascension Choir
10and was an active member into her 90s; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mary Deady, traveling into her 80s, went on three
12pilgrimages with Ascension Church throughout Europe, including
13to Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, and the
14ecumenical community of Taize in France; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mary Deady was preceded in death by her husband,
16Edward Deady, and her siblings, Leonard Deady and Patricia
17Markey; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mary Deady is survived by her children, Ann Marie
19(Fred) Wickizer, Patrick (Pamela), Kevin, Matthew (Mary), Mary
20Joan (the late Michael) McFarlane, Timothy, Mark (Michelle),

1and Philip Deady; her eight grandchildren; and her two
2great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Mary Elizabeth Deady and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Mary Deady as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
