| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Steven R. Williams of Bloomington, who | 4 | | passed away on July 2, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Steve Williams was born in Normal to Robert and | 6 | | Mary (McCammon) Williams on June 26, 1969; he graduated from | 7 | | Bloomington High School in 1987, where he was a member of the | 8 | | speech team and was involved in the theater program; he | 9 | | graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, | 10 | | where he was a history major, a member of the Delta Kappa | 11 | | Epsilon Fraternity, and played string and electric bass in the | 12 | | university jazz band; he graduated magna cum laude from | 13 | | Valparaiso Law School, where he clerked for the dean of the law | 14 | | school; he married Sara E. Klug in Wausau, Wisconsin on July | 15 | | 10, 1993; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Steve Williams joined the law firm of Williams & | 17 | | Swee, Ltd. in Bloomington in 1995, specializing in workers | 18 | | compensation and Social Security; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Steve Williams was a member of the Illinois Trial | 20 | | Lawyers Association and the Illinois Workers Compensation | 21 | | Association; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Steve Williams is survived by his wife, Sara; his | 2 | | children, Clara and Parker Williams; his parents; his sister, | 3 | | Jennifer L. (Paul) Jensen; his brother, Eric M. (Betsy) | 4 | | Williams; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Donna Krieg; his | 5 | | brothers-in-law, John (Deb) and Dave (Michelle) Klug; and | 6 | | numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Steven R. Williams, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Steve Williams as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
