SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Steven R. Williams of Bloomington, who
4passed away on July 2, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve Williams was born in Normal to Robert and
6Mary (McCammon) Williams on June 26, 1969; he graduated from
7Bloomington High School in 1987, where he was a member of the
8speech team and was involved in the theater program; he
9graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana,
10where he was a history major, a member of the Delta Kappa
11Epsilon Fraternity, and played string and electric bass in the
12university jazz band; he graduated magna cum laude from
13Valparaiso Law School, where he clerked for the dean of the law
14school; he married Sara E. Klug in Wausau, Wisconsin on July
1510, 1993; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Steve Williams joined the law firm of Williams &
17Swee, Ltd. in Bloomington in 1995, specializing in workers
18compensation and Social Security; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Steve Williams was a member of the Illinois Trial
20Lawyers Association and the Illinois Workers Compensation
21Association; and

1    WHEREAS, Steve Williams is survived by his wife, Sara; his
2children, Clara and Parker Williams; his parents; his sister,
3Jennifer L. (Paul) Jensen; his brother, Eric M. (Betsy)
4Williams; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Donna Krieg; his
5brothers-in-law, John (Deb) and Dave (Michelle) Klug; and
6numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Steven R. Williams, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Steve Williams as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
