AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 992

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 992 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 2-3.196 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/2-3.196 new)

Sec. 2-3.196. Teacher externship stipend. Subject to appropriation, the State Board of Education shall provide stipends for teachers who participate in externships with a manufacturing company in the State.".
