| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Grant Andy Cobb of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on January 2, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Grant Cobb was born to Grant and Goldie | 6 | | (Anderson) Cobb in Moline on March 15, 1925; he graduated from | 7 | | Moline High School in 1943 and then served in the U.S. Navy | 8 | | aboard LST-517 in the North Atlantic during the D-Day | 9 | | Invasion; he married Elizabeth Hintz Broksieck in Moline on | 10 | | August 12, 1967; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Grant Cobb was a mail carrier for the Moline Post | 12 | | Office, retiring in 1987; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Grant Cobb was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran | 14 | | Church, Moline, National Association of Letter Carriers Branch | 15 | | 318, and East Moline American Legion Post #227 for 75 years; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Grant Cobb is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; | 18 | | his daughter, Lois Genz; his granddaughter, Kathy Genz Sotelo, | 19 | | his great-granddaughters, Meagan Kranich and Sarah Sotelo; and | 20 | | his great-great-grandson, Wyatt Kranich; therefore, be it
