1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5283
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5283, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4 No. 1, on page 3, line 1, after the period, by inserting "If
5 the trustees fail to appoint a new member within 90 days after
6 a vacancy has been declared, the State Librarian shall appoint
7 an individual to fill the vacancy within 30 days after the
8 trustees have failed to fill the vacancy. If the State
9 Librarian fails to fill the vacancy within the 30 days after
10 the trustees have failed to fill the vacancy, the vacancy
11 shall be filled at the next regularly scheduled election.";
12 and

13 on page 4, line 4, after the period, by inserting "If the
