AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4327

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4327 on page 1, by replacing lines 12 through 16 with the following:

"in an amount equal to 50% of the qualified costs incurred by a qualified taxpayer during the taxable year to conduct business as (i) a licensed wine manufacturer, (ii) a licensed brewer, (iii) a licensed brew pub, or (iv) any combination of (i), (ii), and (iii). In no event shall a taxpayer receive a credit under this Section of more than $1,500 in any taxable year."; and

on page 1, line 23, after "Illinois.", by inserting "The taxpayer shall submit to the Department, in the form and manner required by the Department, documentation of the qualified costs incurred by the taxpayer."; and

on page 2, lines 18 and 19, by replacing "any necessary rules in order"" with "any rules necessary"; and

on page 2, line 22, by replacing "to" with "with"; and

on page 3, by replacing lines 3 and 4 with the following: "1934; (iii) a licensed Class 2 brewer, as provided under Section 1-3.42 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934; (iv) a licensed Class 3 brewer, as provided in Section 1-3.44 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934; or (v) a licensed brew pub, as provided under Section 1-3.33 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934.".
