SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

215 ILCS 5/370d.1 new

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that companies that issue group policies of accident and health insurance must offer such policies to local chambers of commerce. Provides for enforcement by the Department of Insurance by rule.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding Section 370d.1 as follows:

(215 ILCS 5/370d.1 new)

Sec. 370d.1. Group policies; chambers of commerce. Companies that issue group policies of accident and health insurance under this Article must offer such policies to local chambers of commerce. The Department shall enforce this Section by rule.
