| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James J. Boarini of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on July 16, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Boarini was born to Edward and Edelle | 6 | | (Odenbrett) Boarini on October 12, 1925; he served with the | 7 | | United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and | 8 | | married Margaret (Peg) Idstein in Chicago on November 26, 1949; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Boarini was a former dairy farmer; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, James Boarini was a member of St. John the Baptist | 12 | | Church in Johnsburg, where he was on the cemetery board; he was | 13 | | a longtime volunteer at the FISH of McHenry Food Pantry; he was | 14 | | an avid landscape enthusiast and potato gun marksman; he loved | 15 | | creating memories with his grandchildren and doing basement | 16 | | craft projects with them; he ensured every grandchild and | 17 | | great-grandchild had a special teddy bear to love and go home | 18 | | with the day they were born; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, James Boarini was preceded in death by his parents | 20 | | and his siblings, Edward, Francis, John, and Edelle; and
