AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 6074

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6074 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $1 to the State
5of Illinois, and subject to the condition set forth in Section
610 of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation is authorized
7to convey by quitclaim deed to the City of North Chicago all
8right, title and interest in and to the following described
9land in Lake County:
 
10    Lots 16, 17, 18, and 19 in a Subdivision of a Part of
11    Section 4, Township 44 North, Range 12 East of the Third
12    Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof,
13    recorded April 26, 1893, as document 54346, in Book "C" of
14    Plats, Page 53, in Lake County, Illinois.
 
15    Also, the vacated Alley Northwesterly and Westerly and

1    adjoining Parcel 1, which Parcel 1 is referred to as Lots
2    16, 17, 18, and 19 in the first paragraph of this legal
3    description (except that portion of the Westerly half
4    thereof Easterly and Adjoining Lot "A") as vacated by
5    ordinance recorded June 18, 1920, as document 193658, in
6    Lake County, Illinois.
 
7    Excepting from all of the above described the easterly 34
8    feet thereof.
 
9    Said parcel containing 0.214 acre, more or less.
 
10    Section 10. The conveyance of real property authorized by
11Section 5 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
12utilities, existing public roads, and any and all reservations,
13easements, encumbrances, covenants and restrictions of record;
14and (2) the express condition that if the real property ceases
15to be used for a public purpose, which public purpose may
16include, but is not limited to, development of a United States
17Navy museum, it shall revert to the State of Illinois,
18Department of Transportation.
 
19    Section 15. The Secretary of Transportation shall obtain a
20certified copy of the portions of this Act containing the
21title, the enacting clause, the effective date, and the
22appropriate Section or Sections containing the land

1descriptions of the property to be conveyed within 60 days
2after its effective date and, upon receipt of the payment
3required by the Section or Sections, shall record the certified
4document in the Recorder's Office in the County in which the
5land is located.
 
6    Section 20. Upon the payment of the sum of $1 to the State
7of Illinois, and subject to the condition set forth in Section
825 of this Act, the Director of State Police is authorized to
9convey by quitclaim deed to the Village of Crestwood all right,
10title and interest in and to the following described land in
11Cook County:
 
12    The East 270 feet of the West 320 feet of the South 160
13    feet of the Northwest quarter of Section 3, Township 36
14    North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
15    Cook County, Illinois.
 
16    Section 25. The conveyance of real property authorized by
17Section 20 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
18utilities, existing public roads, and any and all reservations,
19easements, encumbrances, covenants and restrictions of record;
20and (2) the express condition that if the real property ceases
21to be used for public purposes, it shall revert to the State of
22Illinois, Department of State Police.

1    Section 30. The Director of State Police shall obtain a
2certified copy of the portions of this Act containing the
3title, the enacting clause, the effective date, and the
4appropriate Section or Sections containing the land
5descriptions of the property to be conveyed within 60 days
6after its effective date and, upon receipt of the payment
7required by the Section or Sections, shall record the certified
8document in the Recorder's Office in the County in which the
9land is located.
 
10    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11becoming law.".
