1     AN ACT concerning transportation.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
5 Section 16-106.4 as follows:

6     (625 ILCS 5/16-106.4 new)
7     Sec. 16-106.4. Dismissal of Uniform Citation and Complaint
8 form, conservation complaint. Failure to complete and transmit
9 the Uniform Citation and Complaint form or conservation
10 complaint to the clerk of court of the circuit court in which
11 the violation occurred within 48 hours of arrest, so long as
12 the Uniform Citation and Complaint form or conservation
13 complaint are transmitted to clerk of court within 7 business
14 days, shall not be the sole grounds for dismissal of the case.
