AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2982

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2982 as follows:

on page 4, by replacing lines 22 through 26 with the following:

"(b) There also shall be convened a Regional Network Advisory Council in each of the Department of Human Services' regions comprised of representatives of community stakeholders represented in the Network, as well as relevant trade and professional associations, hospitals, and community providers, including, but not limited to, the following: one representative from an advocacy organization for persons suffering from a substance abuse disorder; one representative from an advocacy organization for persons with disabilities; one representative from an organization that advocates on behalf of the community behavioral healthcare industry; one representative from an organization that advocates on behalf of Illinois hospitals; one representative from an organization with expertise in improving the access of persons in medically underserved areas to high-quality medical care; one representative from an organization that advocates for the professional training and development of Illinois sheriffs; one representative from an organization with expertise in improving healthcare services for critical access hospitals; one representative from the Governor's Rural Affairs Council; one representative from a professional organization that advocates on behalf of physicians trained in the area of psychiatry; one representative from an organization dedicated to preventing drug and alcohol use among teenagers; one representative from an organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare in rural areas; one representative from a trade association committed to the development and maintenance of high quality ambulance and medical transportation services in Illinois; one representative from an organization committed to improving the State's public healthcare system; one representative from an advocacy organization committed to improving home care and hospice care; one representative from an organization that advocates on behalf of the Illinois nursing home profession; one representative from an organization the advocates on behalf of farmers in crisis; and others designated by the Network Steering Committee or members of the Network."; and

on page 5, by deleting lines 1 through 14.
