AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 582

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 582, AS AMENDED, by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is amended by adding Section 55 as follows:

(70 ILCS 3605/55 new)

Sec. 55. Sick leave, vacation leave, and personal leave policy. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary and except as provided in a collective bargaining agreement, the Authority may not have a sick leave, vacation leave, or personal leave policy unless the Board adopts the policy by ordinance or resolution. Except as provided in a collective bargaining agreement, any sick leave, vacation leave, or personal leave policy adopted by the Board must apply uniformly to all employees of the Authority.".
