AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2151

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2151 as follows:

on page 1, immediately below line 6, by inserting the following:

""Contractor" means the person responsible for conditioning seed, cleaning seed, or conducting grain rescue operations."; and

on page 2, immediately below line 15, by inserting the following:

""Restrictive label seed" means seed governed by a contract between a seed supplier and a farmer that prohibits seed reuse or seed saving."; and

on page 4, immediately below line 15, by inserting the following:

"A contractor who unknowingly comes into possession or contact with a restrictive label seed shall not be liable for any damages, attorney fees, or costs caused by the possession of or contact with that seed."; and

on page 8, line 17, by deleting "to".
