SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

730 ILCS 166/15

Amends the Drug Court Treatment Act. Provides that the Chief Judge of each judicial circuit must (rather than may) establish a drug court program including the format under which it operates under the Act. Effective January 1, 2010.

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Drug Court Treatment Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

Sec. 15. Authorization. The Chief Judge of each judicial circuit must may establish a drug court program including the format under which it operates under this Act.
