 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3309

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3309  on  page  40,
 3    line 18, by replacing "court tribunal" with "tribunal"; and

 4    on page 43, after line 21, by inserting the following:

 5        "Section  99.  Operative  date.  This  Act  shall  become
 6    operative  upon at least one of the following 2 events taking
 7    place, whichever occurs first, but in no event prior to  July
 8    1, 2004:
 9             (1)  The amendment by Congress of subdivision (f) of
10        42  U.S.C.  Sec. 666 to statutorily require or authorize,
11        in connection  with  the  approval  of  state  plans  for
12        purposes  of federal funding, the adoption of the Uniform
13        Interstate Family  Support  Act  as  promulgated  by  the
14        National  Conference  of  Commissioners  on Uniform State
15        Laws in 2001.
16             (2)  The approval, either generally or with specific
17        application to Illinois, by the federal office  of  Child
18        Support  Enforcement  or  by  the Secretary of Health and
19        Human Services, of a waiver, exemption, finding, or other
20        indicia of regulatory approval of the Uniform  Interstate
21        Family  Support  Act,  as  promulgated  by  the  National
22        Conference  of  Commissioners  on  Uniform  State Laws in

 1        2001, in connection with the approval of state plans  for
 2        purposes of federal funding.".
