SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Greg McCoy of Woodstock, who passed away on October 4, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was born on March 9, 1951; his parents were Robert K. and Modelle (Medlar) McCoy; he married Tricia Burden in Woodstock in 1977; and

WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was a master craftsman; he was the owner and operator of the Greg McCoy Glass Studio, where he created original stained glass architectural pieces and restored antique lampshades and windows; he was most proud of his work in restoring the Tiffany Mermaid window in the Field Museum in Chicago; he was also associated with Rich's Incredible Pyro as a special effects pyro technician for over 16 years; and

WHEREAS, Greg McCoy had a great love for boating and enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Lake Geneva; and

WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Greg McCoy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tricia McCoy; his daughter, Lori Hagele; his grandchildren, Kate and Morgan; his sister, Nancy McCoy; and his lifelong friend, Tim Meyers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Greg McCoy; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Greg McCoy as an expression of our sympathy.
