SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Greg McCoy of Woodstock, who passed away
4on October 4, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was born on March 9, 1951; his parents
6were Robert K. and Modelle (Medlar) McCoy; he married Tricia
7Burden in Woodstock in 1977; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was a master craftsman; he was the
9owner and operator of the Greg McCoy Glass Studio, where he
10created original stained glass architectural pieces and
11restored antique lampshades and windows; he was most proud of
12his work in restoring the Tiffany Mermaid window in the Field
13Museum in Chicago; he was also associated with Rich's
14Incredible Pyro as a special effects pyro technician for over
1516 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Greg McCoy had a great love for boating and
17enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Lake Geneva; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Greg McCoy was preceded in death by his parents;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Greg McCoy is survived by his wife of 36 years,

1Tricia McCoy; his daughter, Lori Hagele; his grandchildren,
2Kate and Morgan; his sister, Nancy McCoy; and his lifelong
3friend, Tim Meyers; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Greg McCoy; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Greg McCoy as an expression of our
10sympathy.
