SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rose A. Cary of Waukegan, who passed away on July 12, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary was born on December 31, 1925 in New Rochelle, New York; she was a longtime resident of Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary retired from the Lake County Health Department after many years of service; she also worked for the City of Waukegan Water Department, St. Joseph Catholic Church Rectory, and Senior Aid of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukegan, where she worked in the rectory and volunteered many hours to the Catholic Church; she was also a devoted supporter of the Humane Society and Disabled American Veterans; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard and caring for the cats that she rescued; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Cary; her son, James Seymour Cary; her parents, Fredrick and Mary Mooney; her brother, Joseph (Ellie) Mooney; her sister, Mary (Henry) Vieringer; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marjorie (Tolvo) Wuorenma, Robert (Clara) Cary, Grace (William) Petersen, James (Margaret) Cary, and Ruth (Bill) Vioski; and

WHEREAS, Rose Cary is survived by her sons, William L. Cary, Robert F. Cary, and Edward P. Cary, and her nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Rose A. Cary; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rose Cary as an expression of our sympathy.
