SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rose A. Cary of Waukegan, who passed away
4on July 12, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rose Cary was born on December 31, 1925 in New
6Rochelle, New York; she was a longtime resident of Waukegan;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rose Cary retired from the Lake County Health
9Department after many years of service; she also worked for the
10City of Waukegan Water Department, St. Joseph Catholic Church
11Rectory, and Senior Aid of Lake County; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rose Cary was an active member of St. Joseph
13Catholic Church in Waukegan, where she worked in the rectory
14and volunteered many hours to the Catholic Church; she was also
15a devoted supporter of the Humane Society and Disabled American
16Veterans; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rose Cary enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels
18in her yard and caring for the cats that she rescued; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Rose Cary is preceded in death by her husband,
20William J. Cary; her son, James Seymour Cary; her parents,

1Fredrick and Mary Mooney; her brother, Joseph (Ellie) Mooney;
2her sister, Mary (Henry) Vieringer; and her brothers-in-law and
3sisters-in-law, Marjorie (Tolvo) Wuorenma, Robert (Clara)
4Cary, Grace (William) Petersen, James (Margaret) Cary, and Ruth
5(Bill) Vioski; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Rose Cary is survived by her sons, William L.
7Cary, Robert F. Cary, and Edward P. Cary, and her nieces and
8nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Rose A. Cary; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Rose Cary as an expression of our
15sympathy.
