SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vito Phillip Buffalo of Lake in the Hills, who passed away on June 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo was born on October 27, 1931 in Chicago; his parents were Salvatore and Josephine Buffalo; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo served his country as a member of the United States Navy aboard the USS Kula Gulf during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo was the proud proprietor of Main Street Meat Market in Algonquin for over 35 years; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo entertained countless music enthusiasts and dancers in ballrooms throughout the Chicago area for over 65 years; his mother bought him his first trumpet in his early teen years and it quickly became his passion; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo is preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Linda Buffalo; a brother, Phil Buffalo; and 2 sisters, Faye Sobal and Rosalie Becker; and

WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo is survived by 3 children, Anthony, Bryan, and Kristen Durante; his first wife, Judith Buffalo; 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Christina, Andrew, and Lukas; 2 stepchildren, Missy Bonner and Scott Blazek, and their children, Alexis, Mitch, AJ, TJ, Kennedy, and Emerson; and his last love, Cynthia Calvillo, her 3 children, Emily, Stephanie, and Molly, and her 2 grandchildren, Robert and Autumn; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Vito Phillip Buffalo; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vito Buffalo as an expression of our sympathy.
