SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vito Phillip Buffalo of Lake in the
4Hills, who passed away on June 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo was born on October 27, 1931 in
6Chicago; his parents were Salvatore and Josephine Buffalo; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo served his country as a member of the
8United States Navy aboard the USS Kula Gulf during the Korean
9War; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo was the proud proprietor of Main
11Street Meat Market in Algonquin for over 35 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo entertained countless music
13enthusiasts and dancers in ballrooms throughout the Chicago
14area for over 65 years; his mother bought him his first trumpet
15in his early teen years and it quickly became his passion; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo is preceded in death by his parents;
17his second wife, Linda Buffalo; a brother, Phil Buffalo; and 2
18sisters, Faye Sobal and Rosalie Becker; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Vito Buffalo is survived by 3 children, Anthony,

1Bryan, and Kristen Durante; his first wife, Judith Buffalo; 5
2grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Christina, Andrew, and Lukas; 2
3stepchildren, Missy Bonner and Scott Blazek, and their
4children, Alexis, Mitch, AJ, TJ, Kennedy, and Emerson; and his
5last love, Cynthia Calvillo, her 3 children, Emily, Stephanie,
6and Molly, and her 2 grandchildren, Robert and Autumn;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Vito Phillip Buffalo;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Vito Buffalo as an expression of our
14sympathy.
