SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles Frank Hoscheid, Jr. of Moline, who passed away on November 22, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was born in Buffalo, New York on December 22, 1927 to Charles and Laura Darmstadter Hoscheid; he served in the United States Army Air Force from 1946 to 1949, attaining the rank of Corporal; he married Marie Louise Ames on June 20, 1953 in West Alice, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was employed for a time by Johnson Controls; later, he was a design engineer for Beling Engineering in Moline, retiring in 1993 after over 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher, and treasurer; he was also a member of the Moline Noon Day Optimist Club and the former Quad-City Color Slide Club; he enjoyed photography, camping, and backpacking; and

WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. is survived by his wife, Marie, and his sister, Ruth (Earl) Noble; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles Frank Hoscheid, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Hoscheid, Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
