SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Frank Hoscheid, Jr. of Moline,
4who passed away on November 22, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was born in Buffalo, New
6York on December 22, 1927 to Charles and Laura Darmstadter
7Hoscheid; he served in the United States Army Air Force from
81946 to 1949, attaining the rank of Corporal; he married Marie
9Louise Ames on June 20, 1953 in West Alice, Wisconsin; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was employed for a time by
11Johnson Controls; later, he was a design engineer for Beling
12Engineering in Moline, retiring in 1993 after over 12 years;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. was a member of First United
15Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon,
16Sunday school teacher, and treasurer; he was also a member of
17the Moline Noon Day Optimist Club and the former Quad-City
18Color Slide Club; he enjoyed photography, camping, and
19backpacking; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Charles Hoscheid, Jr. is survived by his wife,
21Marie, and his sister, Ruth (Earl) Noble; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Charles Frank Hoscheid, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
5it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Charles Hoscheid, Jr. as an
8expression of our deepest sympathy.
