HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize the retirement of Master Sergeant Scott Isaacs from the Illinois State Police on December 31, 2016; and

WHEREAS, After 27 years of service, Master Sergeant Isaacs will call in his final 10-42 on November 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs began his career on December 4, 1989 at the Illinois State Police Academy; and

WHEREAS, After his graduation from the academy, Master Sergeant Isaacs was assigned to District 19 in Carmi, where he worked for nearly 21 years; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs was promoted to District 19 Sergeant in 2001 and to Master Sergeant in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs was assigned to the District 19 Tactical Team; he served as a Field Training Officer, Field Training Supervisor, and Crisis Negotiator; he also spent a short time in Zone 7 Investigations; and

WHEREAS, In 2011, Master Sergeant Isaacs transferred to District 13 in DuQuion, where he was assigned as a Platoon Supervisor, Scale and TWI Supervisor, and Special Enforcement Team Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs has for several years supervised the Street Machine National Car Show and the DuQuion State Fair; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Isaacs resides in Marion, with his wife, Angie Isaacs, and his 19-year-old stepdaughter, Lauren Pavelonis, who is attending John A. Logan College with plans to transfer to obtain her doctoral degree as a nurse anesthetist; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Scott Isaacs is planning to open an overhead door business in Harrisburg, with his 22-year-old son, Remington Isaacs, who currently resides in West Frankfort; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend Master Sergeant Scott Isaacs for his excellent service to the State of Illinois, and we wish him a long and happy retirement; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Master Sergeant Isaacs as an expression of our esteem and respect.
