1    AN ACT concerning land.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:

Conveyance to the City of Streator

 
6    Section 5-5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State
7of Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs, is
8authorized to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and
9interest of the State of Illinois and the Department of
10Military Affairs in and to the real estate described in Section
115-10 to the City of Streator, subject to the conditions and
12restriction described in Section 5-15.
 
13    Section 5-10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey
14the following described real property:
15    The West 250 feet (as measured on the South line of Bridge
16    Street) of the following described tract: That part of the
17    Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35,
18    Township 3 North, Range 3 East of the Third Principal
19    Meridian, which lies East of Block 3 in Jackson's Addition
20    to the Town (now City) of Streator, South of Bridge Street,
21    West and North of the Vermillion River; all of said
22    property being situated in LaSalle County, Illinois.

1    Section 5-15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the
2real property described in Section 5-10 to the City of Streator
3until the Adjutant General determines that the property is no
4longer required for military purposes. Conveyance of the above
5real property will be in an "as is" condition, subject to the
6Historic Preservation Covenant on the armory buildings as
7approved by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, and the
8City of Streator will pay all required costs and expenses of
9the conveyance, as determined by the Adjutant General. The
10Quitclaim Deed shall state on its face and be subject to the
11condition that if the property is no longer used for public
12purposes, then title shall revert without further action to the
13State of Illinois.
 
14    Section 5-20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified
15copy of this Act from the Secretary of State within 60 days
16after its effective date and, upon conveyance of the real
17estate described in Section 5-10 being made, shall cause the
18certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of the
19Recorder of LaSalle County.
 
20    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21becoming law.
