SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond O. Wallin of Gurnee, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on June 22, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin was born on March 2, 1921, in Comfrey, Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin served his country with pride as a member of the United States Navy during World War II; he was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin served on the Waukegan Fire Department for 30 years; he retired at the rank of lieutenant; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin was a member of Trinity United Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and his parents, Harris and Olga Wallin; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wallin is survived by his children, Barb (Mark) Reckling, John Wallin, and Jody O'Rourke; his grandchildren, Meagan (Anish) Gauri, Jane (Sam) Hood, Aaron Reckling, Collin (Christine) O'Rourke, Kyle O'Rourke, Ian Wallin, Patrick Wallin, Adam Wallin, and Johnny Wallin; his 6 great-grandsons; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Raymond O. Wallin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Wallin as an expression of our sympathy.
