SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard P. Lesage Sr. of Moline, who passed away on September 5, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Richard Lesage was born to Paul and Margaret (Tanghe) Lesage in Moline on March 26, 1938; he married Barbara R. Magruder on February 4, 1961, and she preceded him in death on September 2, 2004; he served in the U.S. Navy; and

WHEREAS, Richard Lesage worked as a fireman for the City of Moline and retired as a captain; and

WHEREAS, Richard Lesage enjoyed camping and fishing and loved spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Richard Lesage was also preceded in death by his sister, Pat; and

WHEREAS, Richard Lesage is survived by his sons, Scott (Tiffany) Lesage, Rick (Linda) Lesage Jr., Ed Lesage, and William (Julia) Lesage; his eight grandchildren; his 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Irene (Loren) Zietler, Betty (Jerry) Hazen, Melanie (John) Diedrich, and Judy (Ed) Burke; and his brother, Mike Lesage; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard P. Lesage Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Lesage as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
