SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the deaths of Peyton Joseph O'Neil and Zoe Marie O'Neil of Arenzville, who passed away on August 17, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Peyton and Zoe O'Neil were born on January 29, 1996 and May 2, 1998 to Joseph Edward and Holly Marie Witbracht O'Neil; and

WHEREAS, Peyton O'Neil was entering his senior year at Triopia Junior-Senior High School, where he played golf, basketball, and ran track; he worked for the Burrus Seed Company and planned on becoming an accountant; he was a referee for the Jacksonville Soccer Association and was an avid University of North Carolina Tar Heels fan; and

WHEREAS, Zoe O'Neil was entering her sophomore year at Triopia Junior-Senior High School, where she played golf, basketball, and softball; she planned on becoming an athletic trainer; she was also a referee for the Jacksonville Soccer Association and would babysit in her spare time; she was an fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees; and

WHEREAS, Peyton and Zoe O'Neil were preceded in death by their maternal grandfather, Terry L. Witbracht; and

WHEREAS, Peyton and Zoe O'Neil are survived by their parents; their paternal grandparents, James and Judith O'Neil; their maternal grandmother, Mary Hoffman; their maternal grandfather, James A. Brown; their aunts and uncles, Heather and John Maubach, Amy Brown, Nikki and Clint Cowley, Casey and Sarah Witbracht, Lance Witbracht, Vincent and Jacquie O'Neil, and Julie and Tom Jermakowicz; their cousins, Emma, Tess, and Ian Maubach, Autumn Jermakowicz, and Cailyn, Terry, Toby, Brenyn, and Cade Cowley; and their canine cousin, Murphy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the deaths of Peyton Joseph O'Neil and Zoe Marie O'Neil, and extend our sincere condolences their family, friends, and all who knew and loved them; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peyton and Zoe O'Neil as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
