SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Linda L. Wollpert of Wonder Lake, who passed away on August 23, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert was born in Chicago on December 25, 1945 to Lee and Irma Gundelach; she graduated from Barrington High School and attended Northern Illinois University; she married Bruce Wollpert in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert started her career teaching mathematics at Marengo Community High School; she spent a great deal of time volunteering at school and continued her education, learning computer science and programming; she helped local businesses set up websites; and

WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert loved the water especially her pool in the back yard; she spent many hours with her husband, sons, and grandchildren playing in the pool and went to a weekly swimming exercise class; she enjoyed the friends she made in these classes; she also enjoyed cooking and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens; she and Bruce spent their winters in their RV, traveling to Florida and referring to themselves as snowbirds; and

WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert is survived by her husband, Bruce Wollpert; 2 sons, Bob Wollpert (Donna) and Tom Wollpert (Jennifer); 2 grandchildren, Molly and Jack Wollpert; 3 step-grandchildren, Richie Ganske, Bobby Ganske, and Jessica Knight; and 8 step-great-grandchildren; she had one sister, Lois Morrissey (Steve, deceased) and 2 brothers-in laws, Art Wollpert (Jan) and David Cogshall (Edith, deceased); she had several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Linda L. Wollpert, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Wollpert as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
