SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Senate are saddened to learn of
3the death of Linda L. Wollpert of Wonder Lake, who passed away
4on August 23, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert was born in Chicago on December 25,
61945 to Lee and Irma Gundelach; she graduated from Barrington
7High School and attended Northern Illinois University; she
8married Bruce Wollpert in Antioch; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert started her career teaching
10mathematics at Marengo Community High School; she spent a great
11deal of time volunteering at school and continued her
12education, learning computer science and programming; she
13helped local businesses set up websites; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert loved the water especially her pool
15in the back yard; she spent many hours with her husband, sons,
16and grandchildren playing in the pool and went to a weekly
17swimming exercise class; she enjoyed the friends she made in
18these classes; she also enjoyed cooking and tending to her
19flower and vegetable gardens; she and Bruce spent their winters
20in their RV, traveling to Florida and referring to themselves
21as snowbirds; and

1    WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert was preceded in death by her
2parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Linda Wollpert is survived by her husband, Bruce
4Wollpert; 2 sons, Bob Wollpert (Donna) and Tom Wollpert
5(Jennifer); 2 grandchildren, Molly and Jack Wollpert; 3
6step-grandchildren, Richie Ganske, Bobby Ganske, and Jessica
7Knight; and 8 step-great-grandchildren; she had one sister,
8Lois Morrissey (Steve, deceased) and 2 brothers-in laws, Art
9Wollpert (Jan) and David Cogshall (Edith, deceased); she had
10several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Linda L. Wollpert, and extend our sincere condolences to her
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Linda Wollpert as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
