SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony Joseph "Joe" Drefchinski of East Moline, who passed away on May 23, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Joe Drefchinski was born to Anthony and Barbara (Borgert) Drefchinski in Moline on August 1, 1932; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Patricia Ann Hogan in Solon, Iowa on June 30, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Joe Drefchinski retired from the Alcoa Corporation after 37 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Joe Drefchinski was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; and

WHEREAS, Joe Drefchinski was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Judy; and his siblings, Mike Drefchinski, Rita Drefchinski, and Dorothy Stueland; and

WHEREAS, Joe Drefchinski is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Joe (Jan) Drefchinski Jr., Patty Zimmer, Jacque Stewart, and Jody (Dean) Lovell; his grandchildren, Jeff (Tammy) Ball, Stacey Schlaht, Megan Drefchinski, and Brad Lovell; his six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Alice Drefchinski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anthony Joseph "Joe" Drefchinski and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joe Drefchinski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
