SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Beatrice Freese of Royal, who passed away on May 27, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese was born on February 3, 1927, in Compromise Township; she was the daughter of Carl and Grace (Pannbacker) Park; she married John G. Freese on August 8, 1948, in Gifford; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese farmed alongside her husband in the Flatville-Thomasboro area; she was well known by all who knew her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese was a member of St. John Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Illini teams and loved attending her grandchildren's youth baseball games; she also enjoyed spending many happy hours playing cards with her friends; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Brian Frerichs; her 2 brothers; and her 3 sisters; and

WHEREAS, Beatrice Freese is survived by her daughters, Donna (Robert) Ramm and Diane (Stanley) Frerichs; her sister, Lorene Frerichs; her brother, John (Mildred) Park; and her 7 grandchildren, Deon Ramm, Kenneth Ramm, Kyle Ramm, Kathy Waller, Darren Ramm, Bruce Frerichs, and Joey Frerichs; and her 9 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Beatrice Freese; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Beatrice Freese as an expression of our sympathy.
